Founded in Hamburg's historic Speicherstadt in December, 1987.
The founder of the company, Bent B. Dietrich, is still the sole shareholder of the company. Together with Andreas Reyelt and Stephan Niesel, they act as managing directors for our group.

1992
Our American subsidiary American Coffee Corporation (Amcof) in New Jersey, USA, is founded as an independent company in 1992.
Amcof is a wholly owned subsidiary of HACOFCO and is responsible for the distribution of green coffee in the North American and Canadian regions.
1992
Sustainability continues to grow in importance within our industry. As early as November 1992, we were the first coffee trading house to join the then newly founded organization TransFair Germany, which is now known as Fairtrade Germany.
1994
In 1994, the company headquarters were moved from Hamburg's Speicherstadt to Zippelhaus 5a.
1996
In 1996, Andreas Reyelt joined as managing director and is still active in the same function at HACOFCO today.
2000s
In the 2000s, Hacofco joins the German Coffee Association, where Bent B. Dietrich serves on the executive committee. In addition, various employees are represented on boards and committees, thus contributing to the further development of the entire coffee industry.
2000s
We relocate to the modern buildings of the Hanseatic Trade Center in Hamburg's HafenCity.
2015
Partner with Intercontinental Coffee Trading (ICT) in San Diego, California, one of the leading specialty coffee traders in the U.S.
2017
We have been a proud member of the Specialty Coffee Association since 2017 and have been focused on serving the specialty industry ever since.
